WATCH: Johannesburg Society for the Blind residents enjoy hand and feet massages

Beautiful Feet SA wants to ultimately open franchises for these women who are working there.

Ten residents from Johannesburg Society for the Blind (JSB) received hands and feet massages thanks to Beautiful Feet SA at 29 Landor Street in Tulisa Park.

The owner, Melissa Castro, said it was a great pleasure to pamper the residents of JSB.

“I started this business this month with my husband, Georgio and we were fortunate to spoil them. Ward 57 Clr Faeeza Chame recommended we do this. It was fantastic to give them this experience outside of their routine. I am grateful to JSB for letting us pamper them,” she said.

Mellissa confirmed they were giving nine young women in the area an opportunity to empower themselves.

“The staff is local and we empower women to become entrepreneurs. We give them the space and tools to work with. Our vision is also to help these women to open franchises,” she explained.

One resident at JSB, Antoinette van Rensburg, said it was an excellent experience. “I feel like a new lady with new hands and new feet. It was a blessing coming here. I will come next time. Thank you to all who helped us; we appreciate it,” she said
