TLC Children’s Centre calls for winter donations

Simple donations such as socks, food and jerseys could be a lifeline this winter season.

TLC Children’s Centre in Walkerville calls on the public for urgent help as winter puts extra pressure on its resources.

The centre currently lacks warm clothes and food for the children it supports. Every morning, children arrive at TLC from homes without heating, food, or warm clothing.

The centre provides a safe space where many receive their first hot drink and meal of the day.

A little one at TLC Children’s Centre beams with joy, surrounded by warmth and care.

Director Pippa Jarvis shared that they are doing their best, but the rising demand during winter is making it harder to cope.

“Every pair of socks, every bowl of porridge and every donated jersey counts,” said Jarvis.

With your help, the centre can ensure that no child starts their day cold and hungry.

Children huddle for motor skills learning.

Donations can be dropped off at 26a 2nd Avenue, Walkerville.
