Mall of the South launches Heritage Month drive for children in needy

The Mall of the South is hosting a donation drive to support underprivileged children in the south of Johannesburg. Drop off your items and help spread dignity and hope.

This Heritage Month, the Mall of the South is embracing the spirit of ubuntu by giving back to the community.

In line with the theme ‘Our Children, Our Heritage’, the mall launched a collection drive to support vulnerable women and children in Johannesburg south.

The mall is asking shoppers and community members to donate children’s clothing and shoes, nappies and baby formula, which will be distributed to the Momo’s Upliftment Centre, which supports vulnerable women and children.

For the Mall of the South, Heritage Day is more than a celebration of our diverse traditions. It is also about coming together as a community to make a difference.

By contributing to this initiative, every donor will help ensure that children in disadvantaged communities have essentials that bring dignity, comfort and hope.

The centre manager for the Mall of the South, Hester Smith, said, “We are proud to partner with the Momo’s Upliftment Centre for this Heritage Day initiative. Their commitment to supporting women and children aligns with our vision of building a caring and compassionate community.”

Drop off donations at the donation box at Entrance 2, near the centre management office.

The Mall of the South invites residents, shoppers and businesses to join hands in celebrating our heritage through giving, as every child deserves to grow up with dignity, care, and love.
