WATCH: Hope NGO spreads festive cheer with Christmas goodies for Welfare Park residents

Scores of people benefitted from the Hope Foundation Christmas party.

There’s hope this festive season for Welfare Park residents as Hope Foundation donated food, clothes, groceries, and gifts to them at Karina Place Church on December 20.

The foundation spearheaded by Stella and Wietschi Jooste is a beacon of hope for most families in the area.

From heaps of buckets full of groceries to freshly made burgers, the community and its children enjoyed the day.

Stella said they are doing this for the tenth year as a foundation, although it is for the fourth time in Welfare Park.

“We prepared hamburgers, cool drinks, sweets, biscuits, chips, toiletries, a bucket of groceries, clothing, and gifts for the community. Once a year, we give these to the community; however, every month, we give them food parcels,” she said.

She would like to thank everyone involved in making this day memorable and wishes to have more sponsors so they can continue helping the people of Welfare Park.
