Living Waters of Hope brings joy to over 680 people Johannesburg South
The organisation spread festive cheer with food, hampers and gifts, ensuring hundreds of vulnerable community members were cared for.
Living Waters of Hope NPO brought hope and joy to the Johannesburg South community this festive season by hosting a large Christmas party that reached more than 680 people.
The event was designed to give back to vulnerable and underprivileged families in the area. Community members enjoyed food, received Christmas hampers and presents, and shared a warm lunch in a joyful and caring environment.
The Managing Director of Living Waters of Hope, Megan Yorke, thanked everyone who made the day possible. “Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers bringing a smile to so many faces,” she said.
Living Waters of Hope focuses on supporting those in need by providing food, clothing, stationery, and toiletries, as well as running various community development projects. The organisation works closely with the community to ensure that help reaches those who need it most.
Some of the Christmas hampers were sponsored by WeBuyCars JHB South, based in Aeroton. The company decided to support the initiative, as much of its business comes from the Johannesburg South area. By donating hampers, they aimed to give back and further support the NPO’s mission to bring about positive change in the community.
The Christmas celebration reminded many that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference, especially during the festive season.
