Marist Brothers Linmeyer to host Women-in-Sport Festival
SOJO Helping Hands Foundation to help collect donations for girl empowerment initiative.
The Marist Brothers Linmeyer are marking 60 years of academic excellence by hosting the Women-in-Sport Festival on March 14 and 15.
The two-day event will showcase female athletes participating in sports such as netball and football, symbolising the celebration of women’s involvement in athletics.
A central component of the festival is the sanitary drive. It will empower girls through donations of female sanitary products.
Festival-goers are invited to visit the SOJO stall, where they can drop off their contributions to support the South of Joburg Business & Tourism Helping Hands Foundationās efforts to assist girls in need.
The initiative is partnered with the Mall of the South and the SOJO Helping Hands Foundation, emphasising community collaboration to uplift and empower young women through both sport and essential health resources.
The festival aims to inspire female participation in sports while addressing practical needs that enable girls to stay engaged in education and activities.
