Ride for a cause to support Gregory’s fight against cancer

Residents are encouraged to join a fundraising convoy supporting Gregory Morgan’s fight against multiple myeloma.

The community is being called upon to stand together in support of Gregory Morgan from Kibler Park, who is fighting multiple myeloma, a rare and serious form of bone marrow cancer.

Morgan was diagnosed on February 28, 2022. Since then, he has been facing a long and difficult journey that has affected him physically, emotionally, and financially.

Despite ongoing treatment and regular hospital visits, he holds on to hope.

To help raise funds for his growing medical expenses, Morgan has organised a special fundraising convoy titled Let’s Ride for a Cause. The event aims to bring together the community in unity and support.

The convoy invites bikers, stance enthusiasts, and car lovers to come together and take to the streets in support of a meaningful cause.

The event will take place on May 1, with an entry fee of R100 per ride, which also includes entry into a lucky draw. The convoy will begin at WheelsNSmoke in Liefde en Vrede, travel along the N12, continue onto the N1 westbound, then onto the N3, return via the N12, and end with a final stop at WheelsNSmoke.

All proceeds raised will go towards Morgan’s cancer treatment and ongoing medical costs. Organisers emphasise that every kilometre driven and every participant present represents strength, unity and hope.

Those who are unable to attend are still encouraged to support the cause. Donations can be made via EFT to Discovery Bank, account name GN Morgan, account number 18327837521, using the reference “CV + name + cellphone number.”

Vendors are also welcome to take part in the event. Stall spaces are available, and bookings can be made by contacting 061 423 7959 via WhatsApp for more information.

Community members are urged to support the initiative and help make a difference in Gregory’s fight against cancer.

For updates and more information, community members may join the WhatsApp group.
