Grade 12 learners encouraged ahead of exams to register to vote
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi motivated learners and teachers at Glenvista High School to register to vote.
Glenvista High School welcomed Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi on May 18.
The visit was aimed at motivating learners and teachers ahead of the upcoming examination period, as well as a voter registration drive ahead of the 2026 local government elections.
The visit was made possible through an invitation from principal Dr Thabile Morgan.
In his address, Lesufi shared words of encouragement for learners and teachers.

“Education is a tool you can use to better yourself and change the world. Here at Glenvista High, the standard remains excellent and I want to wish all the Grade 12’s good luck,” said Lesufi.
The event was especially significant for Grade 12 learners as they continue preparing for their preliminary exams.
Glenvista High also participated in a voter registration drive during the visit, giving learners and community members the opportunity to register, access important services, and become more aware of their responsibilities as active citizens.

Dr Morgan thanked the premier and distinguished guests for bringing encouragement, motivation, and hope to the school community, noting that the engagement reminded learners that education is power.
“This visit has meant a lot to our school. At the school, we encourage learners to dream big and work hard. The premier’s presence emphasises how hard we want them to work,” said Dr Morgan.
