Suideroord residents thank City Parks after long awaited clean up

The Beautification Corner in Suideroord has finally been cleaned after residents raised concerns about garden rubble, wood shavings and tree debris left in the area.

The Beautification Corner in Suideroord is finally clean, following action by City Parks to remove the waste that had been left at the site.

Residents had previously raised concerns about garden rubble, wood shavings, branches and other debris at the corner of Columbine and Potgieter streets.

The matter had been reported to the city several times, with residents also contacting their local councillor for assistance.

After the issue was brought to the attention of the Southern Courier, City Parks returned to the area to remove the remaining waste.

Residents have now confirmed that the Beautification Corner has been cleaned.

Residents said they are grateful that the matter has finally been addressed and hope the area will be kept clean and properly maintained going forward.
