Joburg south's Gerald Marimuthoo received 200 Young South Africans award
The awards celebrates excellence across various sectors with this year’s honorees drawn from 3 000 nominations across the country.
Glenvista resident Gerald Marimuthoo was honoured on August 6 at a ceremony in Rosebank after being named among the Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans of 2026.
The award recognises young South Africans who are making a meaningful contribution in their respective fields and communities.
Selected from 3 000 public nominations and following a rigorous vetting process, Gerald received the award in the business and finance category.
The M&G 200 Young South Africans initiative highlights emerging leaders under 35 who are driving change, innovation and impact across the country.
Speaking after the announcement, Gerald said he was honoured to be recognised alongside other young leaders shaping South Africa’s future.
The recognition places a spotlight on his work in business and finance, as well as his contribution to community development.
