SASSA brings grant services to Johannesburg South residents
The agency will host an outreach programme at Mall of the South on September 9, offering grant applications, reviews and enquiries from 09:00 to 15:00.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) will host an outreach programme on September 9 to assist residents of Johannesburg South with grant services.
The event will run from 09:00 to 15:00 at the ST014 Tenant Meeting Room, Basement, Level 0, Mall of the South, Kliprivier Drive.
Sassa confirmed it will assist with all grant applications – including for children aged zero to two years and the Child Support Grant (CSG) Top Up – as well as reviews and general enquiries.
Sassa outreach team to process multiple grant types
Services available on the day cover the Old Age Grant, Foster Care Grant, Disability Grant, War Veterans Grant, Child Support Grant, Grant-in-Aid and Care Dependency Grant.
Applicants must bring required documentation, including a South African 13-digit barcoded ID book or card, proof of spousal relationship (marriage certificate or divorce decree), child birth certificate, spouse or parent death certificate, three months’ bank statements for all accounts, and proof of income (payslip or letter).
For CSG Top Up applicants, Sassa requires either official death certificates for both parents or a death certificate for one parent, along with an affidavit confirming the unknown status of the other parent.
Agency targets accurate payment distribution
The agency reaffirmed its mandate to deliver the correct social grant to the correct beneficiary at the right time and place.
