Young performers encouraged to enter The South's Got Talent
Sing, dance, perform and show the South what you can do. The South’s Got Talent is giving young performers up to age 24 a chance to shine, win prizes and get noticed.
Beacon of Light Oasis Community Centre is launching The South’s Got Talent, a new community talent competition that gives young people a chance to showcase their skills.
The competition is open to anyone under 24. Singers, dancers, musicians and other performers are welcome to enter.
First-round entries are free. Those who qualify for the semifinals will pay an entry fee of R100 for solo performers or R200 per team.
The winner will receive R3 000, while the second-place winner will receive R2 000. Additional prizes and giveaways will also be available during the semifinals and finals.
About Beacon of Light Oasis
Beacon of Light Oasis operates under LIGBAKEN OASE NPC, a registered Non-Profit Company with approved Section 18A status. Qualifying donations may receive a Section 18A tax-deductible receipt.
The centre is also calling on local businesses and community members to support the initiative through sponsorships, prizes, products or services. Every contribution will help provide young people with a platform to share their talents.
Leo Kirsten, programme manager at Beacon of Light Oasis, said the centre would welcome support from businesses and individuals in the South.
