Wow, what an awesome young man Dario Gouveia is. (Front page, Comaro CHRONICLE, February 15).
We started a “These Shoes are made for Walking” project because of the need at the schools.
It would be awesome if Dario would consider the schools and maybe drop some shoes off. Many of the children don’t have new shoes, or shoes that are decent enough for school. Dario and his family could contact me for lists.
Marist Brothers Linmeyer’s learners have been buying shoes for our project too! Thank you everyone, but because Dario is such a young man I would suggest people support him during his project. We are old hands at this kind of thing so it would be awesome for you to support Dario, a young man who should be nominated towards “Lead SA!”
Marist Brothers Linmeyer, again, you have created a wonderful young man and his passion! Last year we had Zia Bava that handed over his Helping Hand trophy to WH Coetzer School and that was also fantastic. Such young people of substance!
Our project works a little differently as we asked the schools to give us sizes of shoes needed.
Bless you, Dario, and young leaders of the South take a page out of this young man’s book! Again, well done.
