Ms Deaf International 2022 observes 16 Days of Activism
While observing 6 Days Of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, Ms Deaf International 2022 Megan Holmes raises awareness on gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) on women and children.

I’m writing this letter on behalf of those who are afraid or choose not to speak up. Even those who don’t realise they are being abused.
We are tired of what you are doing to us – all that mental and emotional manipulation. It wrecked us completely. We are tired of crying almost every night with extreme pain in our chests.
Your words stab us like knives, but the worst part is that we believe that we deserve to hear them. We are tired of hiding our physical scars and telling others some comfort lies, ‘I bumped myself, I fell’.
We say ‘yes’ more often than we should because of the fear of people being angry at us. We are tired of not wanting to go home where we are supposed to feel safe, secure and loved. We can’t even be comfortable in our beds and shadow figures appear at our door at night.
We are tired of the way you scream at us and threaten us with objects. Those objects we want to burn and not see around anymore. Raised voices make us jump constantly.
We are tired of walking on eggshells so that we don’t get hurt, get screamed at or any of your actions tore our identities apart and destroyed our abilities to trust others and even worse, ourselves.
Do you feel delighted doing that to us? Does that make you feel better?
This is a complete abuse of power. I was a victim, our voice matters. Many voices in one community; together we can stop this.
