Excitement at Charity Mile Draw

All charities will benefit on the day

TURFFONTEIN – The Charity Mile Draw took place under great excitement on Wednesday October 23 when the 16 horses where matched with their 16 charities and 16 celebrities.

Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile will take place on Saturday November 2 at Turffontein Racecourse. The event will commence at 11:00.

The field of 16 horses will run for their 16 charities supported by the 16 celebrities on the day. The horses will determine how much each charity will take home. All charities are bound to win on the day.

A total of R550 000 will be divided between them. Winning charity will take home a cheque for R100 000, second place R70 000, third R50 000 after which each charity will receive their share. No charity goes home empty handed.

Caxton Local Newspapers were matched with the horses, charities and celebrities as their Media partners for this prestigious event.

Southern COURIER will be the Media partner for the horse, Link Man, charity, Khangezele Primary Aftercare Centre and their celebrity will be Darren Scott.

Comaro CHRONICLE will be the Media Partner for Wylie Hall, charity, Highveld Horse Care Unit, and Amor Vittone will be the celebrity on the day.

Alberton RECORD will play Media Partner for War Horse, Fortune Kunene Aftercare Centre will be their charity and Neil Andrews the celebrity.
