MEREDALE – Ntokozo Zungu will be represented South Africa at the Malasia tennis tournament which will be held from November 24.
The young enthusiastic eleven year old from Naturena Primary has paved her way to the SA Schools team who will send two teams in both the u.12 and u.14 girls and boys categories that will participate against other countries.
She participated at the National Schools tournament in Bloemfontein which was held in March. The Gauteng Central team competed against 16 other teams at the inter-provincials to eventually finish at bronze medal winners.
During the year she competed in as many as 22 individual tournaments of which she won five and being runner-up in some 14 of these. In Mpumalanga-West tournament which was held over the June school holidays she won both the singles and doubles matches.
She is currently ranked number one in Gauteng Central and listed number 13 on the South African rankings.
