Union Bulldogs the new dog in town
Union Bulldogs to play in Pirates Grand Challenge League.

THE Union Bulldogs started the new year with a new management. The club combined the juniors who were the Union Tigers with the main club, and will be playing as the Union Bulldogs.
The club is currently in a building phase, when old players left the club to join other clubs. New and old faces joined the club this year in the senior groups. The club is looking for players who are still under 19 to join the club, when the league is starting on April 10 against Pirates.
The club is competing in the highest league, namely The Pirates Grand Challenge League, which is the toughest competition in South Africa. In this division the club is competing against Varsity Cup sides such as UJ, Pukke and Wits Universities. In the league Union will also have to play against Wanderers and Raiders, that competed in the Community Cup last week.
During the month of March they have taken on Alberton, which Union beat convincingly and lost narrowly to Randfontein with one point.
During the month of May they will be playing Pukke and Wits Universities at home. On May 23 Union will be playing Alberton at home in a Midas Derby match, when they will be playing for the Kevin de Klerk Trophy. On the day Midas will host a family day for the Community and rugby fanatics with giveaway prizes worth R 125 000.
Please phone Louis Odendaal on 073 842 8311 for more information on this event. A day not to be missed.
