Youngsters from the Eden Park Boxing Club, in Alberton, and South Hills Boxing Club fighters, from Johannesburg South, came together for a sparring session and exchange of fighting strengths.
The session took place on the evening of February 12, at the South Hills Boxing Club.
“Coach Lyle Fortoen and I, are working very hard to develop young boxing talent in both communities. I would also like to thank coach Lyle for sponsoring the Eden Park Boxing Club with four heavy punching bags and gloves. These will certainly take us a long way,” said Eden Park Boxing Club coach Sydney Kok.

“And as part of our development at the club, we will be sending two of our young boxers to compete in the first beginners championships in March, at the Danie van Zyl hall in Newlands West, and Transnet’s Koedoes Poort in Pretoria,” added Sydney.
