Grace Trinity girls run to victory in cross-country league

Grace Trinity’s junior girls cross-country team blazed through five challenging races to clinch first place in the Southern District League.

The Grace Trinity junior girls’ cross-country team has raced to success, taking first place in the Southern District Junior Girls Cross Country League.

Over the past few weeks, the team took part in five qualifying races, most of which were held at Calvary College, with one hosted at Saheti.

The courses were tough, and the competition fierce, but the Grace Trinity girls showed teamwork and determination. The hard work paid off as they finished at the top of the league, marking a proud moment for the school.

Additionally, five athletes from the team have been selected to represent the district in the Inter-League Team Race, which took place on June 2 at Pretoria Boys High.

The school and parents congratulated Hayley and Taylor Saunders, Georgia Paterson, Riley Brooks and Atiyah Moodley on this fantastic achievement.

There were also brilliant individual performances in the Southern Suburbs Junior League, with Hayley and Taylor Saunders sharing second place, Georgia Paterson came 14th, and Riley Brookes placed 17th.

All four qualified for the Inter-District individual final, which took place at St Stithians.
