Ethan Peters secures victory at Shaya Thursday
The Johannesburg South fighter makes quick work of his opponent in the opening round at Emperors Palace.
Ethan ‘The Villain’ Peters knocked out opponent Siyanda Mthethwa in the first minute of their heavyweight division fight on August 27 at Emperors Palace.
The Golden Gloves Foundation hosted the inaugural ‘Shaya Thursday’ boxing event to give opportunities to young boxers.
The night was full of high-quality boxing and a vibrant atmosphere as attendees flocked to the event to cheer on some of Johannesburg’s finest boxers.
Peters’ fight was highly anticipated, as he has become known as a knockout artist who aimed to live up to the hype.

He came out determined from the first bell against Mthethwa and measured his punches carefully.
Mthethwa, who was making his debut, seemed to underestimate his opponent and lost control of the fight.
Peters showed composure as he landed a stiff right hook to end the contest early.
The knockout victory puts his professional record at 4-0.
“I train hard, I love this sport, and I always believe in myself. Respect to my opponent and a massive thank you to my family and my coaches,” said Peters.
