Young footballers set to sharpen their skills at Thaba Eco Estates
Zane Proactive Sports Academy will host a two-day soccer and sports clinic aimed at helping children develop their football skills, confidence, discipline and physical fitness.
Young footballers from across the southern suburbs will have an opportunity to develop their skills when Zane Proactive Sports Academy hosts a two-day soccer and sports clinic at Thaba Eco Estates from October 2.
The newly established academy, founded by experienced soccer coach and former professional player-coach Zane, focuses on introducing young players to the fundamentals of football in a fun, structured, and positive environment.
The clinics are aimed at children aged four to 12, as well as coaches, and will cater for youngsters from Alberton, Meyersdal, Comaro and surrounding areas.
Coach Zane said the programme is designed to give young players a strong foundation while helping them grow both on and off the field.
“As an experienced soccer coach and former professional soccer player, I have worked with young players and understand the importance of introducing children to the fundamentals of football in a fun, structured and positive environment,” he said.
The two-day programme will feature professional football coaching, ball mastery, skills and drills, fitness and coordination exercises, team games and fun learning activities.
According to coach Zane, the clinics are not only about improving football ability but also about helping children develop confidence, discipline, teamwork and overall physical development.
The academy aims to create an environment where young players can learn at their own pace, enjoy the sport, and build important life skills.
