Say no to drugs
“Unemployed parents let’s be vigilant. Walk your children to school. Patrol the ‘hot spots’.
JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – WARD 55 Clr Rashieda Landis wants Bellavista Estate to become a drug free zone.
This comes after the recent deaths of an 18-year -old girl and a 23-year-old father.
“Who is next? No one will die again. Not in Ward 55. I will not give up. We will fight the killers. One life lost is one too many. Community don’t wait for drugs to come to your doorstep. Let us unite against the murders. I am appealing people to please help our children.
“We are the majority and they the minority. I cannot do it alone. Our children are dying.
“Unemployed parents let’s be vigilant. Walk your children to school. Patrol the ‘hot spots’.
“The police are there, yes, but they cannot be there 24/7. Help them. Make it your duty to know what’s happening in your child’s life. Protect them. They are your responsibility. Let us rise and claim back our streets. Don’t sit back and say it is the councillor’s duty or the police’s duty. It is a collective duty. Break the silence, enough is enough,” explained Clr Landis.
