27 STUDIO 55 dance studio will hold their October Showcase on October 27 at 10.30am at Glenview Primary School. Come and support the dancers with their annual dance showcase. 27 CELEBRATE with Glenvista Renaissance Retirement Village for their 30th birthday on October 27 from 10am to 4pm at the village. Come and join in the fun and laughter, browse through the flea market stalls selling biltong, dry wors, jewellery, needlework and more. Enjoy all the good food like boerewors rolls, hamburgers, potjiekos, pancakes in the tea garden and sit back and relax to the sounds of live entertainment. 26-27 HENLEY Performing Arts is proud to present the 2018 revue Making Henley Grate Again with a series of sketches referring to sometimes hilarious happenings in the little village. Sketches include Murder at Shillingford Manor, The Road Closure Committee Meeting and The Wine Tasting. Tickets sell at R130 per person which includes a two-course meal. Cash bar available. 28 BIG Top Rock is the biggest, most entertaining and daring show ever produced by The Barnyard Theatres and Stepping Stone Hospice and Care Services is giving you the opportunity to experience this show first-hand at The Barnyard Theatre, Emperors Palace on October 28 to Stepping Stone Hospice as part of the hospice’s on-going fund-raising. A rock concert to remember featuring live music, aerial acts, funky dance routines and an electrical atmosphere awaits you at only R170 per ticket. You will be taken on a musical journey with music from Def Leppard, ACDC, Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elvis Presley, Pink, Elton John and Michael Jackson and also get to experience a variety of acts that include pole dancing, acrobatics, silk, trapeze and lyra. 1 ALBERTON SPCA is holding its annual golf day on November 1 with a shotgun start at noon. The event will take place at the Reading Country Club and registrations will open at 10am. The cost of a four-ball is R2 000 and hole sponsorship is R1 200. The four-ball includes a light dinner. The SPCA welcomes any sponsors for the day. 24 THIS is one car show bringing you everything you love about cars and motorcycles with high end vehicles, street and hot rods and a touch of the classics – make sure you make your way to Hoërskool Dinamika on Saturday, November 24. The day is hosted by the Brackendowns police reservists to raise much-needed funds to equip them to effectively protect and serve the community. The day also offers a children’s play area with jumping castles and a variety of games as well as food and drink stalls. There is also a raffle and tickets will be sold at the gate.
