The Mahindra TUV300 which first made its local appearance in 2017 now received a mid-life upgrade and see new exterior and interior design and specification upgrades.

Upfront the TUV300 now introduces itself with new headlamps finished with a carbon-black finish which flank an updated new-look five-slot grille. The grille includes wide chrome-lined slats topped with chrome lining while just below features a new lower bumper with wider inlets. A new scuff plate finished in a metallic grey is flanked by two squared-off fog lamps as standard. The square theme continues to the side with squared-off wheel arches filled by alloy wheels while the new dark motif manifests with black cladding on the side of the vehicle. Further bolstering the exterior changes is a redesigned the rear-mounted spare wheel cover to include a stylish X-design and a rear spoiler.

While most of the original interior design, which was created by Mahindra’s own designers and design house Pininfarina, remains in place the air vents and main controls are now garnished with silver detailing. As a result of the updated TUV300 initially only being offered as the top specification T8 variants, standard features include power steering with steering mounted controls, an infotainment system with Bluetooth phone connectivity and an in-built Voice Messaging system, electric windows, air conditioning, height adjustment for the front driver seat and rear-mounted Intellipark parking assistance.

Standard safety systems include dual front airbags, a hydro-formed safety cell featuring impact absorbing channels and side-impact bars, ABS brakes, Cornering Brake Control (CBC) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). The updated model will be available in four colour options consisting of Lava Red, Diamond White, De Sat Silver and Sunset Orange.

Under the bonnet features the familiar 1.5 mHawk turbo-diesel engine which features dual-stage turbocharging and common rail direct injection. The 73.5 kW and 240 N.m of torque are sent to the driven wheels via a manual five-speed transmission.

Warranty

The TUV300 comes with a five-year/90 000 km service plan, three-year/100 000 km mechanical warranty and Roadside Assistance.
