Cable thief arrested on Swartkoppies Road
Reaction officers from Fox Security arrested a cable thief on Swartkoppies Road this morning, January 2.
During the early hours of this morning whilst on routine patrol, Fox Reaction unit spotted one suspect hiding behind a bush.
“When he stopped to investigate the suspect fled on foot. Fox Reaction members gave chase and apprehended the suspect shortly after,” said Elowayne Gouws, operations manager from Fox Security.
“Upon investigation, it was found that the suspect was busy stripping the electrical cables from the street light poles,” he said.
The suspect was detained and handed over to Brackendowns SAPS.
