Silwerkroon seniors receive treats from locals

Learners of the newly incepted institution Place of Purpose (PoP) recently paid residents of Silwerkroon a visit by spoiling them with Easter eggs and warm wishes.

Place of Purpose (PoP), a daycare service for young adults with learning challenges reached out to the elderly at Silwerkroon with an Easter surprise.

PoP, which is set to open its doors at the Alberton Methodist Church premises on May 3, is an NPO.

Two members from PoP, who all manifest a few disabilities, were welcomed by senior residents as they generously spread love through their donations.

Deborah Bezuidenhout commended the duo for their involvement and thanked Bridge Church for their selfless contribution.

“Every day we do activities and share them with the parents and coaching staff. We are building evidence for the learners’ portfolios to receive their certificate for independent living and social services. We are helping them to achieve the goal of having purpose,” she said.
