Rhythmic gymnasts show their skills

Rhythmic gymnastics members rake in medals

Elite Rhythmic gymnastics club competed at the Central Gauteng Gymnastics Association (CGGA) novice competition on May 7 and 8.

Once again Elite gymnasts proved to be very successful, receiving gold medals and two silver. All of them will receive their junior Central Gauteng colours.
Rhythmic gymnastics is an ideal sport for girls in the development of hand and eye co-ordination, as it teaches them to dance with music while handling apparatus like ball, hoop, ribbon, clubs and rope. This is a very elegant sport with a lot of time spent stretching for flexibility and body strengthening.

Girls from the age of five and up who are interested are welcome to join and try out a free class at the Doxa Deo Church hall in Meyersdal Estate on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3pm to 5pm.
