Local Clothing brand Nomgenge Duo (ND) wear founded by Siboniso Nomgenge as well as Trust The Process teamed up with GFC to host this event.

The purpose of the event was to create a platform for creatives in the audio-visual industry and to develop future leaders in the sector.

John Mar of (Jay Visuals), Clyde Vernon Morris (CVM Production), Brendon Carlton (Animation) and Charles Blaze (Spine Animation) were all present to showcase their work. All these creatives are from Eldorado Park.

“It’s not the first time that we have worked with the GFC. The last time we worked with them was in 2019. I am an aspiring film producer so just being amongst these creatives was just a huge honour for me,” shared Nomgenge.

He added that he would like to create a platform at the ND flagship store where creatives can showcase their work.

The idea is to create a space where we will have productions and film screening nights at the store.

47 people attended the screening and workshop and the attendees were all creatives in the different fields.

Nomgenge mentioned that he would like to host another screening before the end of the year. He also hopes to host these events on a larger scale in the community.

As hosting these events or creating such platforms can be costly, Nomgenge calls on anyone who is interested in assisting by sponsoring so that they can become a ladder for up-coming creatives.
