Vuwani Secondary receives sanitary pads

The foundation does not only donate sanitary pads but also donates food parcels that include vegetables to families and homes that need food.

Winny Radebe Foundation visited Vuwani Secondary School in Chiawela for the first time to donate 120 washable sanitary pads to Grade 8 and 9 leaners.

The foundation was invited to donate those pads to the learners who are coming from disadvantage homes with intentions to assist them so they do not miss any school days.

The founder of the foundation has been running various other programmes since January 2022 to uplift the community.

The foundation does not only donate sanitary pads but also donates food parcels that include vegetables to families and homes that need food.

“The reason I visited the school was through an invite from one of the teachers, Mrs. Mudau who called me to donate to young girls who are in need of these sanitary pads.

“The aim of these sanitary pads is to help these young girls and their parents save money from buying ordinary pads.

“They are easy to use and easy to wash,” said Winny Radebe, the founder and CEO of the Winny Radebe foundation.

The foundation strives to change people’s lives by making a positive change in nearby communities. The leaners were so happy to have received these sanitary pads and were positive that their lives are now going to be at ease.

“I really feel good because there are some parents who cannot afford ordinary pads; therefore, these ones are going to help them as they are washable and cost effective,” said Keneilwe Baloyi, a 12-year-old Grade 8 learner.

The school likes to pass their kind regards the Winny Radebe Foundation with regards to the donation.

“I am very grateful as we have received the donation of 120 washable sanitary pads from the foundation. We are so happy as these donation will help our leaners who cannot afford.

“We wish that the foundation can continue with its kind donations to even other schools and communities,” said Wendy Sundani, Deputy Principal of Vuwani Secondary School.

As the foundation continues to help and pass good deeds to other communities and schools to assist those in need, they welcome donations and support from those who are able to.
