Witness wanted by police

The police are asking for the help of the community in finding a man who is wanted as a possible witness in a case of robbery.

According to the police, the robbery allegedly took place last month at the Protea South squatter camp and involved theft of a pistol and a R5 rifle from a police officer.

Moroka police communications officer, Constable John Serala said: “We plead with residents to help us find this witness.

“Residents should refer to the case number when they contact warrant officer Tjamo on 082 522 7947.

“The case number is 452/09/2013 and the residents’ help will be highly appreciated.”
