Riverlea Believers make a difference

The Riverlea Believers help the fight against drugs affecting youth in the area.

The Riverlea Believers are from a small community in Riverlea that was started to help the fight against drugs affecting  youth in the area.

“The talent here is amazing but it’s not getting anywhere. It ends ups at the bottle store or on drugs because of poverty and people have given up trying.

“No one has managers so I have decided to come up with an uplifting project using the talent and exposing it,” said Bernice Dollie one of the founders of the organisation.

Local TV youth shows like Bigs Ups and Yo-Tv have come to Riverlea Believers to help motivate the children.

“I would love it if residents could come out to listen to our children and believe me you would love what you hear,” said Dollie.

“We will be hosting a ‘kasi talent show’ on December 8 at the Riverlea High School Hall as a fundraiser for the Christmas party we are planning for underprivileged and street children,” said Dollie.

The Christmas party will be for children in the surrounding areas.

They are asking people for any donations towards the Christmas party. Contact Vida 074 181 6378 or Bonita 079 025 3681.
