Makhoarane Primary wins R35 000

Makhoarane Primary receive a shot in the arm.

The Dobsonville Shopping Centre Management recently ran a competition called ‘My School Needs You’.

It lasted from October 1 to December 20, 2013.

At least 15 local schools participated in the competition both primary and high school.

Entries were made by completing a competition entry form and attaching a till slip (considered as a vote) to an entry form and inserted into a pigeon hole of the school’s name.

Any customer who spent over R150 at any shop was automatically qualified to vote.

Though the competition had long closed, the prize had not yet been presented since.

The prize presentation ceremony was held last Friday at the Dobsonville Shopping Centre.

Makhoarane Primary School won the competition with 345 points.

Centre manager Justin Mabalane said they had over 600 entries.

Mabalane said” I congratulate the winning school for obtaining many points in the competition, it shows that parents have faith in it.

He said” Centre management thanks all customers who took their time to make a difference in the competition.

Principal Pexie Jafta of Makhoarane thanked centre management for making a difference in their school.

She said the prize money will help them cover a lot of things they thought to buy before.
