Dorcas Women in Action holds charity event
Dorcas Women in Action donated school uniforms and mini grocery packs to 152 pupils during Human Rights Day.
Dorcas Women in Action held a charity day last Friday on Human’s Rights Day at Orlando Communal Hall in Orlando East.
They donated school uniforms and mini groceries to 152 pupils.
“We went around the surrounding schools and asked teachers to give us a list of children who are less fortunate and don’t have proper school uniform. We got a very positive response and the parents of the pupils were also invited today to be part of today’s event,” said Lethi Moahloli.
Moahloli also said that she encourages more churches to join Dorcas Women in Action so that they are able to make more of a difference.
“We are not funded by anyone we collectively raised funds for today. We really need more members to join us to that we can make more of a difference,” she said.
Dorcas Women in Action hosts the charity day annually and they plan on growing each year.
