Showcasing aspirations
The Youth of the Year programme is the club’s premier leadership and recognition initiative, designed to honour young people who embody academic excellence, community involvement, leadership, character and a commitment to personal growth. It also provides young members with a platform to showcase their journeys, share their aspirations and inspire their peers.
The journey to becoming Youth of the Year is both challenging and transformative. Participants are selected based on home interviews, school interviews, essay writing and public speaking presentations.
Maeyane Molaba of the Motswako Arts Centre encouraged the young people to believe in their abilities, pursue their dreams with confidence and continue using their talents to make a positive difference in society.
