Uturn and police to source out drug users in schools

A drug search initiative to hit George Khosa Secondary School.

Founder member of Uturn Jan Combrinck who has worked for the South African Police Service for 26 years is now running school based education on drug awareness and prevention programmes.

Combrinck said he has been fighting drug abuse for over 30 years and is passionate about rooting out the causes of drug abuse.

“By identifying the causes of drug abuse we will be able to help the victims find the help that they need,” he said.

Combrinck’s workshop programme covers a variety of topics about drug abuse, motivational steps and phases of counselling.

The workshop programmes will be implemented at George Khosa Secondary School in Dobsonville.

Uturn will be working closely with the Dobsonville Police Station.

Communications officer constable Mzwakhe Xazi will be working with Combrinck in this initiative.
