Rea Vaya bus drivers halt services
Rea Vaya service is currently delayed due to an unexpected bus driver strike.
It seems there will be a strike by Rea Vaya bus drivers today.
Rea Vaya spokesperson Benny Makgoga confirmed that today there is an unexpected disruption caused by bus drivers.
Makgoga said bus drivers parked their buses in Joburg today and were seen entering a Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) building.
“I’m not sure what the drivers’ grievances are but it seems they went to submit a memorandum to Pioneer Transport,” said Makgoga.
Piotrans’ head of strategy and transformation Dumisani Mntambo is currently in a managerial meeting possibly about the unexpected disruption.
