The Lieutenant Colonel who has been on the run since Tuesday handed himself over at the Hillbrow Police Station yesterday.
Police raided his house in Eldorado Park Extension nine after following a tracker signal.
Police found three VW vehicles, one of them a Golf VI that was hijacked in Dawn Park last month.
The chassis numbers of the other vehicles were tampered with.
“The same charges, possession of suspected stolen property, will remain,” Colonel Katlego Mogale said.
The suspect is to appear at the Protea Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
