Operation Paseka, Arrive Alive underway

A provincial operation is being conducted at the Elias Motsoaledi Road to ensure motorists keep safe during this time of the year.

Operation Paseka, Arrive Alive is an initiative that is being conducted by the JMPD, Moroka police, patrollers, Youth Desk and the Road Traffic Agency.

Police’s John Serala said: “We are checking the inside and outside of cars, searching for weapons, road-worthiness and if drivers are drinking and driving.”

Residents are also being given safety tips for this Easter weekend.

Serala said this is the beginning but not the end of the campaign as it would continue throughout the week.
