Damaged streets to be fixed in Chiawelo

JRA site manager sets target to fix streets.

Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has set itself a target of more than 10 streets that it aims to fix before June in the Chiawelo area.

So far according to JRA site manager Portia Thwala, they have fixed only four.

“By the look of things and thorough planning, I think we will reach our target and we might end up fixing more than 10 streets which is our main target.

“We have a dedicated and hard working team of constructors and supervisors who have a common vision here and so I don’t think anything will distract us.

“This campaign is part of Jozi@Work, so we will try our best to work hard in making sure that we create safe and quality streets for both motorists and pedestrians.

“So far the campaign has created more than 15 jobs for residents who will work with us until the campaign finishes.”
