Watch: Jabavu Methodist honours its oldies
Grannies shown that though they may not be present full time at church, they are not forgotten.
According to the TWM these are women who worked for the church in the past, but cannot anymore due to illness.
The women gathered in prayer, scripture readings and praise and worship and afterwards the grannies were surprised with some lunch and gifts.
Chairperson of the TWM, Busi Khumalo said that this was their way of showing the grannies that they have not forgotten about them.
It was also to thank them for their long service to the church, their teachings, continuous support and guidance.
