Women march to raise community issues

Peaceful march to commemorate Women's Day.

To commemorate Women’s Day,  ANC Women’s league of Joe Gqabi branch had a peaceful march on Saturday to raise community issues.

They marched to Protea Glen Police Station to submit a memorandum to the station commander.

They raised issues affecting the community such as drug abuse, rape and crime.

ANC Women’s League Joe Gqabi branch strongly condemns women and child abuse and working with the police, they feel that they can overcome the issues raised.

The station commander, Malefetsane Mofokeng accepted the memorandum and said they (the police) are willing to work with the community.
