Employees continue their demonstration outside PharmaQ

Hopes are high that a settlement might be reached soon.

PharmaQ workers are continuing with their demonstration outside the PharmaQ  gates.Itumeleng Kgalage has said that a revised offer has been received from the employer, but added that the offer had not been accepted by the workers.

This is because the proposed offer has not been finalised, or presented to the striking workers in “black and white”. Referring to the scab labourers seen within the plant as ” ämagundwane” or” mice”, he assured the media present that no action would be taken against such workers.

He has, however, voiced his concern that they would also benefit from any settlement reached between the parties, irrespective of their presence in the workplace while their colleagues were toyi-toying in the streets.

He remains hopeful that a settlement would be reached  as soon as a signed document is received showing that their demands had been met.

This is what he had to say.
