The theft of gate automation motors are on the rise

Thugs know exactly which tools to use to remove gate automators.

More cases of stolen gate automation motors have been opened at Moroka SAPS. The community of Jabavu is advised to secure their gate

The community of Jabavu is advised to secure their gate automation motors on concrete with tight bolts and to weld them in securely because it seems like people know exactly which tools to use to remove them when they are not secured tight enough, according to Captain Mpande Khoza of Moroka SAPS.

Khoza said, “We have been dealing with more cases of theft concerning gate automation, people should secure their motors tighter.”

Khoza said, “We request people who have automators to ensure that they have anti-theft brackets placed on a concrete surface with bolts welded to the plate.”

The screws alone cannot prevent automators from being stolen. No arrests have been made on the thefts of these automators so far, all opened cases are under investigation.

Anyone with any information regarding the stealing of automators can report to 10 111.
