UPDATE: Meeting scheduled for 11:30 between Riverlea protesters and reps from a property company

Police have cleared the roads in Avon street.

The community is having a meeting with a person (name to be confirmed) who handles property development at the Empowerment Centre at 11:30.

Main Reef Road is now open but the roads in Riverlea are still closed off with trees, branches, rocks and some burning tires.

Langlaagte police have been at the scene all morning and have asked protesters to remove everything on the road.

They have cleared the roads in Avon street.
