Youth Managers Foundation (YMF) is a youth development organization duly registered as a non-profit company, focusing on leadership, mentorship, and career guidance.
It was founded in 2008 by the Executive Chairperson, Mabutho Mthembu, and a group of other professionals.
Earlier this month, YMF held their 3rd annual career and mentorship day event for their partner schools. The event was hosted by Emshukantambo Secondary School in Pimville.
YMF is in the forefront in helping develop young change-driven leaders at high schools who take responsibility in addressing social ills and for this event, various career professionals, such as teachers, lawyers, doctors, accountants etc – were invited to go and share their personal experiences, success stories and challenges with the learners.

Some of these professionals were groomed and developed by YMF.
Although the weather was extremely cold, the attendance was overwhelming. Some teachers showed support and were at the event with their learners. The career day was a success as learners showed a positive attitude, interest, and determination.
Learners were divided into different groups and put in different classes and professionals were required to go class by class, taking these learners through different careers. After the presentations learners were given a chance to ask them questions.
The well-known television personality, Sinazo Yolwa was a program director for the day. This made the event even more exciting for the learners as they also got a chance to interact and take pictures with her.
