The FWC Training and Development Centre to open registration for their second semester intake
The FWC T&D Centre offers a variety of free courses, including Chef, Baking, Microsoft Office and Music Beginners programmes.
The Family Worship Centre Training and Development Centre opens registration for their second-semester course intake on June 10 at 10 am.
The centre offers an array of free courses for potential students, including chef, baking, flower arrangement, events and décor, customer service, Microsoft Office, music (beginners), Bible Study and Learner’s License courses.
Each course is three months long and is open to all ages. The centre hopes to educate and empower the community with the necessary skills to develop into capable entrepreneurs and employable job seekers.
“The main aim is for us to give the students the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to go out there and seek or find employment. So as to better their lives and the lives of their family as well,” said Charles De Kock, the T&D Centre Chef and Baking course facilitator and teacher.

Upon registration, potential learners need to bring their ID. All classes occur at the centre on Saturdays for 2-3 hours.
The Learner’s License course occurs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A registered driving school administrator will instruct the Learners License course, and assist students with their license registration while providing training manuals.
Bible Study is a six-week course. The T&D Centre has equipped facilities and a dedicated network of course teachers and facilitators.
The programme concludes with a Chef, Baking and Events and Décor Competition, as well as a graduation, wherein students who have successfully completed their respective courses, receive a certificate with an NPO (The Register of Non-profit Organisations) number.

The latest competition and graduation occurred just last Saturday, you can watch all the fun here.
Jomique Alcaster (15), a previous T&D Centre student enjoyed his experience and highly recommends the facility.
“You will grow so much. You will find yourself doing things that you never thought you’d actually do in life. Come to FWC, you’ll enjoy yourself,” said Alcaster.
“As teachers, yes we’re doing all of this voluntarily, but it’s a pleasure,” said Diane Wilson, the teacher at T&D Events, and Décor.
The second semester will begin on June 17.
