“Makeup doesn’t hide your identity nor define your intelligence”

Woman in Beauty

Thato Makgolane (31) is an artistic, passionate young woman from Meadowlands.

From a young age, she has seen how her mother used to apply makeup and she gradually grew to love it and that inspired her to enter the beauty industry.

She studied graphic design at College Campus but did not pursue it as a career.

“I realised that I am not a follower but a leader,” she said.

She has recently opened her own business named T Tee boutique which is still a work in progress but has started marketing it through all social media platforms and sends out flyers.

“Young woman it is possible to be your own boss and start your business,” she said.

Her aim is to empower and inspire young woman and grant them an opportunity to building their own portfolios.

“I strongly believe that they could get skills to go out there and make their own cash and work on TV sets and movies.

“Makeup doesn’t hide your identity nor define your intelligence.”

She offers a beauty course for only three weeks and charges, which includes a manual and a makeup kit.

This manual’s a guideline with all the information you get to know about different skin types.

“I would like the youth to take part in this course as they will learn and get skills.

“We all know that this day’s woman wants to be pretty not because they are trying to hide who they are or want approvals.

“We as woman we need to empower, encourage, motivate each other not have a pull each other Down syndrome. We have to inspire our current youth to stand for themselves and open up their business and be sufficient.”

The market is huge for every woman out there is a variety of makeup for every skin tone it’s not meant to change but enhancing more people into how they look.

”I am considering doing makeup for matric students going to each school have a pampering session like a tea set, where I will be teaching students more about different skin tones before their matric dance,” she said.
