Graveyard shift guard murdered on duty

A security guard was found dead in the control room

A security guard on night duty was found dead in the control room this morning at Madibane Secondary School in Diepkloof. Missing from the classrooms where the LCD monitors which appeared to have been ripped off the walls.

Diepkloof police spokesperson, captain Phephi Matlou Mteto was at the scene and said, “A murder case has been opened and it is under investigation. The learners were sent back home and studies were suspended for the day.”

The family of the deceased security guard were distraught and declined an interview with the Diepkloof Urban News reporter at the school where their loved one was murdered during the night.

The mood at the school was somber and the Diepkloof Community Policing Forum were present to mourn the loss of their colleague.
