Service delivery open day

The purpose was to achieve substantially informed citizens within Region D

The City of Johannesburg Region D held an information session on Council services at Orlando East Communal Hall, on September 14.

Different service delivery departments and government entities were present namely: Pikitup, Johannesburg water, JHB Health Promotion, Environmental Health and City Parks and Zoo, all gave presentations.

Residents were then given time to go to different stalls to inquire about the problems they have with the service delivery companies.

The aim of the campaign was to provide information on services, create awareness and educate citizens on matters of service delivery.

“The information session was organised by Citizen Relationship Management and the purpose was to achieve substantially informed citizens within Region D,” said Nomvula Dlame.

Seth Mazibuko suggested that the Pikitup entity must put skip bins in each and every open area to avoid illegal dumping by the residents of Soweto.
