Just in – We’ve received a report that a taxi passenger was allegedly shot dead in Meadowlands Zone 9 by criminals during an attempted hijacking. Apparently, the armed men forced the driver out of the taxi which had passengers in. A fight then broke out.

One passenger, who allegedly got shot, was trying to help the taxi driver since the thugs were overpowering him.

The victim died at the scene.

The incident happened around 18.00 pm.
